Among the first things in your crosshairs when executing a big clearout should be the kids’ old toys; they take up a lot of space and their sentimental value simply doesn’t justify storing them.
Consider donating them to children in need who’ll get a lot more joy out of them. Get the old pictures out if you think getting rid of them will make you a bit weepy.

You might not play the guitar on the MTV, but you can still make a few quid for your junk on the eBay.
