November 30, 2022It’s been a successful year for SunSkips, with the company’s third and fourth sites in East Anglia having opened in Haverhill and Ipswich.
And now the skip hire firm is proud to announce that its 3,000th online booking was made last week.
SunSkips managing director Mat Stewart is pleased to have received so many positive reviews from customers saying how simple and convenient the online booking platform is.
He said, “We’re over the moon that our online booking platform has been so popular and made life easier for residents and business owners across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
“Hiring a skip can involve a lot of moving parts, like special items that need to be disposed of separately or locations that are difficult for our lorries to access.
“But with more than 25 years’ experience in local waste management, we worked hard to offer people a booking system that factors in all the variables.
“Of course, we’re just as happy to take a call if customers would rather speak to one of our friendly team members. It’s important to us that people have more than one way to book so they can choose whichever best suits them.”
Why online booking is an important part of SunSkips’ business
When SunSkips acquired Stowmarket Skip Hire, Mat wanted to revolutionise the customer experience to handle all the new bookings that were pouring in and build on the previous company’s reputation.
The new website has allowed clients to quickly get quotes based on their location and confirm their booking in a few clicks – even if they have custom requirements.
Customers can even let SunSkips know if the team will need to apply for a permit on their behalf, saving even more time on an otherwise tedious task.

Plus, SunSkips’ digitised systems wrap up all the paperwork, such as waste transfer notes, into one handy email, avoiding lost documents and inky fingers.
Our very first booking
The 3,000th online booking is a significant milestone after the first version of the platform was launched back on November 11th, 2020.
Barry became the first online customer to book on SunSkips’ website and was met with a special gift to thank him for trying a new way of doing things.

“We celebrated our first web booking,” said Mat. “When we delivered the skip, we turned up with a bottle of champagne and chocolates.”
SunSkips continues to put customers first
The website booking form is just one of many advances in waste management SunSkips has adopted.
Customers can also rest assured that their waste is recycled via the latest screening systems to get as much value out of it as possible and that their skips are delivered by quiet, fuel-efficient lorries.
Mat added, “We want to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their support.
“Our online booking platform is the result of many years’ experience in the industry and it’s great to see it achieve the objective of offering the best possible experience for our customers.”
SunSkips is proud to offer both online and phone bookings for skip hire in Cambridge and Suffolk and is always working to make the customer experience more efficient and hassle-free.
