October 3, 2025SunSkips has launched a new grab hire service to simplify waste removal for construction and landscaping projects across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
The waste management company’s modern fleet of 8-wheel grab lorries can carry up to 16 tonnes of waste in a single load and reach up to 5.5 metres from the edge of the vehicle.
Operators can now collect waste from even more difficult-to-access areas across the East of England without the need for additional handling or machinery.
What SunSkips’ new grab hire service can do for you
Construction and demolition waste is one of the UK’s largest waste streams, with England recovering 59.4 million tonnes of non-hazardous C&D waste.
To get the materials back into the circular economy as efficiently as possible, SunSkips’ has rolled out a fleet of grab lorries that can pick it up and ship it off for recycling in next to no time
The new hassle-free service is ideal for builders, landscapers, and contractors that need to save time and reduce costs associated with multiple skip deliveries and additional labour.
Collections can typically be booked within one to two days, Monday to Friday, with same-day options available in some areas depending on demand.
Each booking includes 30 minutes of loading time, during which the lorry’s hydraulic arm can quickly remove large quantities of soil, rubble, concrete, aggregates, or mixed construction waste.

And with no need for a council permit, grab hire allows waste to be removed directly from the roadside, reducing delays and simplifying the process for customers.
All waste collected is taken to one of SunEnviro’s licensed recycling facilities, where it is processed responsibly. The company sends zero waste directly to landfill, diverting as much material as possible for reuse or recycling.
Pricing starts from £150 plus VAT for hardcore-only loads and from £215 plus VAT for mixed hardcore and inert waste (correct at time of publishing). Charges vary by location and waste type, with the service currently available in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Thetford, Haverhill, Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket, Royston, Norwich and surrounding areas.
