Description: As with the smaller 10 and 12 yard skips, 14 yard skips are designed to hold lighter, bulky materials.
Do you need a skip permit in Hertfordshire?
If your skip is sitting safely on private land, like a driveway or front garden, you won't need a permit.
However, if your skip needs to be placed on a public road or pavement in Hertfordshire, local council regulations require a highway permit, along with night safety lights.

Accepted items, declare at booking: upholstered seating (sofas, armchairs, cushions), mattresses, fridges, freezers, TVs, tyres, dry paint, and plasterboard, which must be kept separate in a dedicated bag or plasterboard skip. Declare these when booking so we can process them correctly.
Never accepted: liquids of any kind, liquid paint tins, asbestos, gas bottles or cylinders, clinical waste, food waste, or faeces.

Heavy waste? Grab hire in Hertfordshire
Got a huge mountain of soil, muck, or concrete sitting on the ground? Loading a skip by hand with a wheelbarrow might take days of heavy lifting.
Our 8-wheel grab lorry holds roughly 16 tonnes per load and includes 30 minutes of on-site loading time.
Our lorry loads alongside the pile at ground level. Note that we do not reach, lift, or load over walls, fences, or hedges, and never over the cab or rear of the vehicle. Your site will need a clear access area roughly 10 metres high by 5 metres wide.

Where does your waste go?
Getting away from direct landfill disposal is central to how we run our yards. When our driver collects your skip, the contents travel back to our waste recycling facility.
Once on site, material is sorted using recovery machinery and hand-sorting lines to separate metals, wood, aggregates, plastics, and card for recycling and reuse.
