Description: As with the smaller 10 and 12 yard skips, 14 yard skips are designed to hold lighter, bulky materials.
What can go in your skip?
Most household items, garden waste, timber, metals, and construction rubble can go into a skip, as long as you don't overfill it. But a few everyday items need special handling on our end, while a handful of hazardous materials cannot be accepted.
Accepted, just declare at booking: under UK regulations, some items require additional care. We accept sofas and upholstered seating, mattresses, fridges and freezers, TVs, tyres, dry paint, and plasterboard (kept separate in a skip bag). Let us know when booking online so we can handle them correctly.
Not accepted: we can't accept liquids, paint tins containing liquid, asbestos, gas bottles, clinical waste, or food waste. Read our waste guide for the full list.
Grab hire and site clearance
For massive muck-away jobs or sites without room for a skip, we also offer grab hire across Suffolk.
Our 8-wheel trucks hold around 16 tonnes per load and load directly alongside the pile at ground level. We never lift over walls, fences, or hedges.
Do I need a skip permit?
If your skip can be placed entirely on your driveway or private land, you won't need a permit. However, if it needs to go on a public road or pavement, you'll need a permit from the local council.
We take care of the paperwork for you during checkout, so your skip is legally placed and properly lit at night. Any permit costs and expected approval times will be explained when you book.
